FABLE in King City
King City Boudoir Photographer
King City keeps a certain composure. It is the quiet of rolling horse-farm estates, of long drives lined with mature trees, of the Oak Ridges Moraine green stretching out past the last mailbox. People settle here for room to breathe and a measure of privacy you cannot buy closer to the city. So when someone from King City decides to book a boudoir session, it is rarely an impulse. It is a considered decision, made by someone who knows her own mind and wants a portrait that holds up to it. That is exactly the register FABLE Studios works in: unhurried, deliberate, and quietly confident.
The drive helps. From King City, our studio is roughly fifteen minutes south in Vaughan, which means you can be in the chair, in good hands, before your coffee has fully cooled. That short trip is part of the appeal. Boudoir is personal, and there is something freeing about doing it a township away from where everyone knows your name. Inside, the studio is private, calm, and built for the work. We photograph for every body and every story, and the experience is led from the moment you arrive: professional hair and makeup, posing guided frame by frame, and a wardrobe conversation that starts well before the day itself. You are never left to figure it out on your own. You did not come for a how-to. You came to be seen well.
What you do with the session is yours to shape. Boudoir is where many King City clients begin, a timeless, tasteful set that is about you and no one else. Glamour and Editorial leans into high-fashion light and a magazine sensibility for those who want a little more drama. Bridal Boudoir has become a favourite gift to a partner before a wedding, an intimate counterpoint to the bustle of planning. Couples sessions bring two people into the frame with warmth and real chemistry. Empowerment sessions mark something, a milestone, a comeback, a season of finally putting yourself first. And our Men's Boudoir prove this was never only for one kind of person. Whichever direction you choose, the craft is the same: editorial, fine-art portraiture made with care and discretion. King City brought the resolve. We will bring the rest.

For the last 24 years, we have been Mom and Dad. Running to school, events, sports, and anything else the kids needed. Yes, we would sneak away every couple of years for a vacation together, but our focus was always on the kids. Well, they are not little anymore, so now we can shift some of that focus back to us, and something like this was a great way to reconnect. The day started off with some nervous jitters, but as soon as we entered FABLE, we were greeted with a warm and professional atmosphere. It made us feel confident and comfortable throughout the whole experience. What we thought was going to be a scary and awkward experience actually turned out to be a great day and a fun experience for both of us. The experience really helped boost our confidence. So much so that we have already had a couple of conversations about coming back and doing it again next year for our 25th anniversary.
I decided to do the photo shoot because it was a horrible time in my life, one of the worst. After a breakup and losing both of my parents in 2024 and 2025, I had felt so bad about myself and my physical appearance due to a bit of depression. My experience with FABLE was wonderful from the moment I walked in. I was treated like a queen and taken care of every step of the way. Everyone was awesome and made me feel so special throughout the entire experience. For once in my life, I actually felt like a movie star. It gave me such a confidence boost, and that feeling has continued even after the session. I feel great about myself, and I’ve shown my portraits to so many people. One of them is even my profile picture on Facebook and Instagram. This experience truly changed how I see myself, and I am so grateful for it. If I wasn't moving in a few weeks, I would probably be doing it again in the near future.
I was tired of hating myself and my body and knew I needed a new perspective and a new start to the year. I cannot even describe how amazing it was to have my portraits done with FABLE. The whole team was so warm, inviting, and hyped me up so much. They all made me feel special and were so caring. I could tell they loved working there and weren't just there for a paycheck. Since my photo shoot, I have bloomed. I started yoga and love it so much that I'm taking a yoga teacher training course. I've been running regularly and have smashed through previous personal records. I have lived full of joy, full of love, and most importantly, I can look at myself in the mirror and not hate what I see. I have embraced, accepted, and loved the body I have and all the amazing things it has done for me. And all it took was one session at FABLE. Two hours of my time to kick my self-doubt and hateful comments out the door. Forever.
I needed this for myself as an affirmation that I’m more than my age or the sum of my parts. Even someone in their later 60’s can be attractive, even a little bit vibrant, more than just an “old lady”. My personal experience was lovely. Everyone was personable, supportive and friendly. I didn’t feel rushed. My opinion was listened to and respected. I didn’t get a lot of support from family members about doing this experience. However, when I returned home, the tune changed! My son commented about how pretty I looked with my hair and make up. I also got positive feedback over the photos I chose. Overall, I’m glad I took the opportunity to do something inherently for myself. It gave me a boost of confidence. I feel a little more self assured, like I did 15 years ago.
The reason why I needed this for myself was because I was feeling low, not feeling sexy, and not feeling wanted by my body. Everything just wasn't right for me. My experience with FABLE was amazing, exciting, and scary because I didn't know what I was walking into. I had no clue what to expect, but overall, it was amazing. Everyone was kind, understanding, and made you feel welcome instead of scared about what was going to happen. I started off really nervous. My armpits were leaking because I didn't know what to expect. They could tell I was nervous, but they made me feel amazing from the start and even more beautiful by the end. By the time I was done, I was laughing. You could see it in all the behind-the-scenes photos and the time-lapse videos, how scared and nervous I was at first, and then by the end I was having an amazing time, laughing, and feeling more at home than I did when I walked in. The girls were amazing with my hair and makeup because I don't know how to do either myself. They also showed me how to sit, how to stand, and how to pose for all the portraits. They loved the word "apple" and somehow managed to make me feel completely at home and relaxed. The girls are amazing, nice, welcoming, understanding, and appreciative. They work with you every step of the way. The way it made me feel afterwards was uplifting, sexy, and more connected to my body the way I should be. With my portraits hanging on my bedroom wall, I look at them and see what I can be and what I'm worth. They remind me that I can be pretty every day, even without my hair and makeup done by someone else, because I still don't know how to do either myself. It was an amazing experience, and I cherish every moment of it. I will definitely be back one day to do a couple’s session with my love.
After having my first son, I did not have the motivation to care for myself. After a year, I got that motivation back and started focusing on myself and working out. That's when I found out I was pregnant again. Fast forward to after my second son was born, and I did not have the energy or motivation to focus on myself anymore. I was only focused on taking care of my sons. When I saw the post for the Empowerment Project on Instagram, I wanted to participate to encourage myself to focus on me again. Not taking care of myself for six months affected me mentally. I thought this experience would help me be happy with myself, see that even after two kids I still got it, and push me to focus on myself again. My experience at FABLE was amazing. From the moment you walk in, everybody was so welcoming and listened to the reasons why I wanted to do this. The makeup artist was amazing. I did not have any idea what kind of makeup I wanted, and she did an amazing job creating a look that suited me. The same goes for my hair. The photographer was amazing as well. She made the experience feel comfortable and not awkward at all. I really enjoyed it, and all of the poses were amazing. She did a great job at hiding my biggest insecurity while still making the portraits look amazing. It made me so happy seeing my portraits. It boosted my confidence so much and made me feel amazing.
King City questions
Booking a boudoir session from King City
How far is the studio from King City, and where do I park?
The FABLE studio is in Vaughan, about fifteen minutes south of King City by car. Most clients come down Weston Road or Bathurst Street. Parking is free and right outside the door, so you can carry your outfits in and settle straight into the session without circling for a spot.
What do King City clients usually ask before booking?
Mostly one thing: whether it will feel comfortable. The answer is yes. The studio is private, the session is fully guided from the first frame, and professional hair and makeup are part of the experience. We also keep everything clear and transparent before you book, so there are no surprises and no pressure, just a calm, well-led day made for you.
How should I get ready before driving down from King City?
Very little, on purpose. Come with clean, product-free hair and a bare face, since hair and makeup are done at the studio. Bring the outfits you love and any pieces you are unsure about, and we will sort the wardrobe together. Given the short fifteen-minute drive, plan to arrive a few minutes early so you can ease in rather than rush.
Which session type is right for me?
It depends on what you are marking. Boudoir is the timeless starting point, Glamour and Editorial brings high-fashion drama, and Bridal Boudoir makes a memorable gift before a wedding. Couples and Empowerment sessions suit milestones and partnerships, and we offer Men's Boudoir too. Tell us what you have in mind when you reach out, and we will guide you to the right fit.
